Discover
The discovery phase is the first and most important step in the process. It’s all about understanding what the users need, what the business goals are, and what the current state of the product is.
Activities
01. Business Goals
- Gather knowledge and understand their vision and goals
- Define what success looks like for the project
- Identify the key stakeholders and their needs
02. User Requirement
- Understand who the users are and what they need.
- Identify their pain points and goals.
- Gather feedback on existing products and services
03. Market Research
- Analyze the current market landscape.
- Identify the competition
- Understand the target audience's needs and preferences.
- Identify trends and emerging technologies.
Design
I don’t just wing it in the design phase. I iterate through a bunch of ideas and concepts, trying things out and seeing what works. I get our clients involved early on so I can make sure the final product is aligned with their goals.
Activities
01. Information Architecture
- Organizing the content for users to make it easy
- Mapping out the relationships b/w different pieces of content.
- Making sure the structure of the platform makes sense for the users'
02. Wireframes
- Creating a rough sketch of the user interface.
- Not worrying about the details yet, just getting the layout down
- This is a good way to get feedback from users early on.
03. Visual Design
- Making the platform look good and appealing to users.
- Choosing colors, fonts, and other visual elements.
- Making sure the design is consistent throughout the platform.
04. Prototype & Test
- Making changes based on the feedback.
- Creating a working version of the platform so users can interact with it.
- Getting feedback from users on how to improve the design and functionality.
